Description:

What is accPppLcpMaxConfigure?

This OID sets the maximum number of Configure-Request messages (1-255) your device will send during PPP link establishment before declaring negotiation failed. During LCP startup, your device proposes settings; if the remote side rejects them repeatedly, your device eventually gives up. You configure this to balance between stubborn persistence on slow networks and quick failure detection on dead links. For example, setting this to 5 means your device will send its configuration proposal up to 5 times; if the remote device keeps rejecting it, the link setup fails after the 5th attempt.
