Description:

What is accPppLcpConfig32BitFCS?

This OID enables or disables 32-bit Frame Check Sequence (FCS) instead of the standard 16-bit CRC checksum on PPP packets. The 32-bit FCS provides stronger error detection on noisy links by using a larger checksum to catch transmission errors. Network engineers enable this on links that experience high error rates or require extra reliability, such as satellite or long-distance serial connections. Setting this to true means your PPP link will use a more robust checksum—for instance, a corrupted byte on a congested link is more likely to be caught before data corruption occurs.
