Description: If set to ietf-ppp, a multilink group of PPP links will follow the standard PPP multilink operations methods. The value acc-new is reserved for future use. The value acc is reserved for compatibility with past offerings.
What is accMultilinkParameterEncapsulation?
This read-write integer selects the frame encapsulation method used by the multilink group—either standards-based IETF PPP multilink or a proprietary ACC format. Network engineers configure this to ensure both endpoints of a multilink connection use the same encapsulation, or switch between methods if upgrading equipment. For example, changing this from "acc" (proprietary) to "ietf-ppp" (standard) allows the device to interoperate with third-party multilink equipment that only supports the IETF standard.
