accLapbFlags

Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accLapbFlags

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.7.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Number of flags to insert between frames on transmission.

What is accLapbFlags?

This specifies how many flag bytes (0x7E sync markers) to insert between consecutive LAPB frames during transmission on the link. Network engineers increase this value on noisy or unreliable links to help receivers recover synchronization after errors. Example: a value of 1 inserts one flag byte between frames, while 8 inserts eight flag bytes, adding overhead but improving recovery on degraded serial links.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.7.2.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accLapbFlags

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.7.2.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accLapbFlags.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.7.2.1.6.1 i <value>
