accIpxSpltHorz
Module: ACC-MIB
OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accIpxSpltHorz
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.22.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Split horizon mode of IPX protocol
What is accIpxSpltHorz?
This OID enables or disables split horizon routing for IPX, a technique that prevents routing loops by not advertising routes back out the interface they arrived on. Network engineers use this to improve IPX network stability and reduce unnecessary routing traffic, especially in larger networks with multiple interconnected segments. For example, enabling split horizon reduces the number of routing updates needed to converge the network.
