Description:

LAN Encapsulation used for Ethernets. none(0), v2(1), raw(2), llc(3), snap(4)

What is accIpxNetEncap?

This specifies the IPX packet encapsulation format on Ethernet: none(0), v2(1), raw(2), llc(3), or snap(4), with values from 0 to 4. Engineers must match this to their existing IPX infrastructure's encapsulation standard; mismatched encapsulations break inter-network routing. A setting of 1 (v2) uses Novell's original frame format; 4 (snap) uses 802.3 LLC/SNAP headers for standards compliance.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.22.2.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accIpxNetEncap

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.22.2.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accIpxNetEncap.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.22.2.1.4.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> accIpxNetEncap.1
