All-path explorer packets received

What is accInAPEPkts?

This OID counts all-path explorer packets received, which are probe frames used in token ring networks to discover available routes to destination addresses. Engineers monitor this to understand how many route-discovery attempts are happening on the network, which can indicate frequent new connections or network topology changes. A steady low count (under 100 per hour) suggests a stable network, while spikes suggest devices joining or routes changing frequently.
