Description:

Number of erroneous EGP messages received

What is accEgpInErrMsgs?

Counts malformed or otherwise invalid EGP messages received from the neighbor. A network operator watches this counter to detect problems with the neighbor device—a rising value suggests misconfiguration or a buggy peer implementation. Example: If this counter jumps from 10 to 150, the neighbor may have a software bug or is sending corrupted routing information.
