What is accDialPortRetryCount?

This OID controls the maximum number of times the system will attempt to establish an outbound dial connection before giving up. Engineers adjust this to balance fault tolerance against resource waste—too many retries consume bandwidth and phone line charges, but too few miss legitimate temporary failures. A value of 3 means the system tries up to 3 times before declaring the link failed.
