Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accCompressPhysStatAvgCompIn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.7.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge

Access: read-only

Description:

The average compression rate of packets presented for decompression expressed as a percentage between 0 and 100. 100% is the unattainable rate which could only be achieved by compressing all packets to zero bits.

What is accCompressPhysStatAvgCompIn?

This gauge reports the average compression ratio for decompressed inbound traffic as a percentage (0-100%), where higher numbers mean tighter compression. A network engineer uses this to validate that inbound compression performance meets expectations and identify when compression stops being effective. A value of 65 indicates that inbound traffic achieved an average 65% compression ratio.
