Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accCompressDialStatAvgCompIn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.4.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge

Access: read-only

Description:

The average compression rate of packets presented for decompression expressed as a percentage between 0 and 100. 100% is the unattainable rate which could only be achieved by compressing all packets to zero bits.

What is accCompressDialStatAvgCompIn?

This gauge displays the average compression ratio for incoming compressed data as a percentage between 0 and 100, where lower percentages indicate better compression. Network engineers need this to validate that the remote end is achieving good compression on traffic sent to you. For example, a reading of 25% means incoming compressed packets are only 25% of their original size.
