accBrPortState

Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accBrPortState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.3.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

accBrPortState reports the operational status of the port; it is writable for backward compatibility (writes also update accBrPortAdminStatus). disabled(0), blocking(1), listening(2), learning(3), forwarding(4)

What is accBrPortState?

This field reports and allows control of the port's operational state in the spanning tree (0=disabled, 1=blocking, 2=listening, 3=learning, 4=forwarding). Network engineers check this to ensure ports are transitioning properly through spanning tree states; a port stuck in blocking state when it should be forwarding indicates a protocol problem. A healthy root port should show state 4 (forwarding), while alternate or backup ports typically remain in state 1 (blocking).

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.3.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accBrPortState

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.3.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accBrPortState.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.3.1.5.1 i <value>
