accArpTimeout

Module: ACC-MIB

OID (symbolic): ACC-MIB::accArpTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.11.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Aging timer value (in minutes) for ARP table entries.

What is accArpTimeout?

This value sets the timeout period in minutes (between 1 and 1440) after which stale ARP table entries are automatically removed from the cache. Engineers adjust this timeout to balance network responsiveness—shorter timeouts purge entries faster but increase ARP broadcast traffic, while longer timeouts reduce overhead but risk stale entries. A setting of 30 minutes means any ARP entry inactive for 30 minutes will be deleted and must be re-learned through ARP discovery.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.11.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accArpTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.11.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accArpTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.11.1.1 i <value>
