What is accIpxWdFilter?

ACC-IPX::accIpxWdFilter is a switch that blocks or allows IPX Keep Alive watchdog packets used by Novell NetWare file servers to detect dead connections. Engineers use this to control overhead traffic on dial-up or metered links where every packet counts toward connection costs. Disabling this filter cuts background traffic to remote offices, but clients may experience longer timeout detection when connections drop unexpectedly.
