What is accIpxRtHops?

This OID stores a count of the number of router hops (intermediate routers) between this router and the destination network. Engineers use hop count to understand route efficiency and to detect suboptimal paths or routing loops that might emerge from misconfiguration. For example, a value of 3 means packets must pass through 3 routers to reach the destination network, whereas a value of 1 means the destination is directly connected.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.22.3.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-IPX::accIpxRtHops

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.22.3.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-IPX::accIpxRtHops.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> accIpxRtHops.1
