Description:

Packets received for which there was no socket

What is accIpxNoSockets?

This counter tracks IPX packets that arrived at the router but had no listening socket or application to receive them on the destination port. You'd monitor this to identify traffic destined for services that aren't running or are unconfigured on the device. A count of 50 packets with no matching socket might indicate a client trying to reach a service that's been shut down or misconfigured.
