Description:

Demand RIP/SAP Hold timer

What is accIpxNetRtgHldTmr?

This OID sets the hold timer (1 to 255 seconds) that demand-based RIP/SAP routers wait before flushing a route learned over this link. Network designers use this to prevent routing flaps when a link is temporarily congested or slow to respond. A typical value of 120 seconds prevents routes from dropping out during brief slowdowns.
