ipMultiPathIfIndex
Module: ACC-IP
OID (symbolic): ACC-IP::ipMultiPathIfIndex
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description:
The index value which uniquely identifies the local interface through which the next hop of this route should be reached. The interface identified by a particular value of this index is the same interface as identified by the same value of ifIndex.
What is ipMultiPathIfIndex?
The ACC-IP::ipMultiPathIfIndex OID stores an integer that references the local interface (by its SNMP ifIndex) through which the next hop of this route should be reached. A network engineer sets this to ensure outbound traffic for a route leaves through the correct physical interface. For example, ipMultiPathIfIndex = 2 directs the route to use interface number 2, matching standard ifIndex numbering for Ethernet ports.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-IP::ipMultiPathIfIndex
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-IP::ipMultiPathIfIndex.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.23.1.3.1 i <value>
