Module: ACC-COMPRESS

OID (symbolic): ACC-COMPRESS::accCompressX25StatUnCompIns

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.6.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description:

The total number of uncompressed packets presented for decompression (i.e., packets which could not be compressed and were therefore received in their uncompressed form).

What is accCompressX25StatUnCompIns?

This OID counts packets received from the X.25 peer that were not compressed (either because compression failed or was skipped) and passed through uncompressed. Network engineers monitor this to identify how much traffic could not be compressed on the inbound side, indicating either incompressible data or compression engine problems. A value of 50,000 uncompressed packets out of 2.5 million total (2% failure rate) shows good compression coverage.
