Module: ACC-COMPRESS

OID (symbolic): ACC-COMPRESS::accCompressX25StatAvgCompIn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.6.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge

Access: read-only

Description:

The average compression rate of packets presented for decompression expressed as a percentage between 0 and 100. 100% is the unattainable rate which could only be achieved by compressing all packets to zero bits.

What is accCompressX25StatAvgCompIn?

This OID shows the average compression ratio for X.25 inbound traffic as a percentage, where lower numbers mean better compression. Network engineers use this as a quick health check to ensure the decompressor is working and that incoming data is actually being reduced in size. A value of 45% means inbound X.25 traffic is being decompressed to 45% of its compressed size, achieving a 55% space saving.
