Module: ACC-COMPRESS

OID (symbolic): ACC-COMPRESS::accCompressSmdsStatUnCompOuts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.9.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description:

The total number of uncompressed packets presented for compression which could not be compressed (i.e., the packet expanded). These packets are transmitted in their uncompressed form.

What is accCompressSmdsStatUnCompOuts?

This OID counts packets that the local compressor determined were impossible to compress (they would actually expand if compressed), so they were sent as-is without compression (a running counter of packets bypassed by the compressor). This metric helps engineers identify problematic traffic types—like pre-compressed video streams, encrypted payloads, or highly random data—that wastes CPU time to compress. A value of 100 packets means 100 packets were deemed uncompressible and forwarded uncompressed.
