Description:

The average compression rate of packets presented for compression expressed as a percentage between 0 and 100. 100% is the unattainable rate which could only be achieved by compressing all packets to zero bits.

What is accCompressSmdsStatAvgCompOut?

This OID reports the average compression ratio of locally compressed outgoing packets, expressed as a percentage from 0-100 (where lower percentages indicate better compression and higher percentages mean compression is less effective). Engineers use this to evaluate how well their local compression engine is performing and whether the traffic type is naturally compressible. A value of 25% means outgoing data is being compressed down to 25% of its original size on average.
