accCompressFfrStatHdrErrors

Module: ACC-COMPRESS

OID (symbolic): ACC-COMPRESS::accCompressFfrStatHdrErrors

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.5.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description:

The number of packets received with invalid compression headers. A header error requires a resynchronization of the history buffers at each end of the link.

What is accCompressFfrStatHdrErrors?

This OID counts packets received with corrupted or invalid compression headers, which prevents the decompressor from reconstructing the original data. Engineers care about this because header errors force the system to resynchronize compression buffers, causing temporary data loss and latency spikes on the link. A steady increase in this counter (like growing from 50 to 200 in an hour) suggests line noise, hardware problems, or compression engine failures that need immediate investigation.
