This OID enables or disables data compression on a Frame Relay neighbor connection (read-write integer: ON, OFF, or INVALID to remove). Network engineers toggle this to manage Frame Relay link efficiency, especially when backbone bandwidth is limited. For instance, setting this to ON reduces bandwidth usage on a Frame Relay PVC to a remote office, while INVALID erases the configuration entry.
