accCompressDialStatUnCompIns

Module: ACC-COMPRESS

OID (symbolic): ACC-COMPRESS::accCompressDialStatUnCompIns

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.4.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description:

The total number of uncompressed packets presented for decompression (i.e., packets which could not be compressed and were therefore received in their uncompressed form).

What is accCompressDialStatUnCompIns?

This counter measures uncompressed packets that arrived at the decompression side because they could not be compressed (they would have expanded instead). A network engineer uses this to identify packets that don't compress well, which might indicate incompressible data like video or already-compressed files. For example, if this counter is 500, it means 500 packets could not be compressed and were transmitted as-is.
