accCompressDialStatHdrErrors

Module: ACC-COMPRESS

OID (symbolic): ACC-COMPRESS::accCompressDialStatHdrErrors

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.6.4.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description:

The number of packets received with invalid compression headers. A header error requires a resynchronization of the history buffers at each end of the link.

What is accCompressDialStatHdrErrors?

This counter increments whenever a packet with a corrupted or invalid compression header arrives. When this counter is high, it signals link quality problems that force the compression engine to resynchronize, potentially losing efficiency. For instance, 50 header errors might indicate a flaky dial connection where packets are getting corrupted in transit.
