What is accAtPortStatsOutShorts?
This counter tracks AppleTalk packets sent using the short header format, which is used for packets destined to nodes on the same network segment. Engineers monitor this ratio against total outgoing packets to confirm that local delivery is being optimized. If short-header packets represent 80% of all outgoing traffic, the network design is working correctly with most traffic staying local.
