If the metric 0 is specified, the routing table metric is calculated according to the formula defined in a3RipIpImpMetTable (for either EGP or BGP). (all fractions are rounded down to the next integer)
What is a3RipIpExtPolMetric?
This integer (0–15) sets the RIP metric advertised for this specific external route. A value of 0 auto-calculates; 1–15 override. An engineer might set 15 to exclude the route (infinite distance) or 1 to prefer it.
