h3cDot3OamErrSymPeriodEvNotifEnable

Module: A3COM-HUAWEI-EFM-COMMON-MIB

OID (symbolic): A3COM-HUAWEI-EFM-COMMON-MIB::h3cDot3OamErrSymPeriodEvNotifEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.45.1.10.2.42.3.1.5.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates whether the occurence of Errored Symbol Period Events should result in Event Notification OAMPDUs generated by the OAM layer.

By default, this object should have the value enabled(1) for Ethernet like interfaces that support OAM. If the OAM layer does not support event notifications (as indicated via the h3cDot3OamFunctionsSupported attribute), this value is ignored.

What is h3cDot3OamErrSymPeriodEvNotifEnable?

This enumerated value (enabled=1 or disabled=2) controls whether symbol-period error events trigger OAM notifications. Operators toggle this to suppress noisy alerts during maintenance or enable monitoring when link quality is critical. Value enabled(1) activates symbol error reporting.
