Besides 255, the specified maximum MCS index for 802.11n supported rates must be no less than the specified maximum MCS index for 802.11n mandatory rates.

What is h3cDot11RRM11nMadtMaxMcs?

This read-write parameter specifies the maximum Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS) index (0-76) allowed for 802.11n mandatory data rates, or 255 if no limit is set. MCS indexes higher rates use more complex modulation but work only at shorter distances. Engineers adjust this to enforce consistent performance across APs or limit power consumption; setting it to 7 restricts mandatory rates to slower but more reliable modes.
