a3filterUserMaskOperand

Module: A3COM-FILTER-R5-MIB

OID (symbolic): A3COM-FILTER-R5-MIB::a3filterUserMaskOperand

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.10.2.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: This object, together with a3filterUserMaskOperator, cause bit operations to be performed on the bit field identified by a3filterUserMaskLocation. The output of this operation is compared, according to a3filterUserMaskComparison, to the value specified by a3filterUserMaskMatchType and a3filterUserMaskMatchBits, a3filterUserMaskMatchValue1, and/or a3filterUserMaskMatchValue2 (depending on the value of a3filterUserMaskMatchType. ie, the value of a3filterUserMaskMatchType determines which of the other objects are relevant).

What is a3filterUserMaskOperand?

This OID holds a 4-byte binary operand used in bit-level filtering operations on packet data. Network engineers configure it to define which bit patterns to search for when applying filters to traffic. For example, setting it to 0xFF000000 matches the first 8 bits in a protocol field to identify specific traffic types.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.10.2.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> A3COM-FILTER-R5-MIB::a3filterUserMaskOperand

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.10.2.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> A3COM-FILTER-R5-MIB::a3filterUserMaskOperand.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.10.2.1.8.1 s <value>
