Description: This object contains the maximum number of routing descriptors (ie, hop count) for All Routes Explorer frames.
What is a3ComBrgSrPortAREHopCount?
This integer limits the number of routing descriptors in All Routes Explorer frames on this port to prevent excessive exploration traffic. Operators tune this to balance route discovery responsiveness against network flooding from ARE frames. Setting it to 15 allows ARE packets to traverse up to 15 hops before being discarded.
