What is a3ComBrgCtl?
This read-write integer controls whether the system performs bridging operations at all, with values enabling or disabling the entire bridging function. When bridging is disabled (noBridging), the system stops learning MAC addresses, spanning tree, and source routing operations. For example, setting this to 2 (noBridging) would isolate segments entirely, useful when troubleshooting or converting a device to routing-only mode.
