This MIB is used for managing host systems. The term ‘host’ refers to any computer that communicates with similar computers on the internet and is directly used by people. While this MIB isn’t necessarily applicable to devices primarily designed for communication services (e.g., terminal servers, routers, bridges, monitoring equipment), such relevance isn’t specifically excluded. This MIB monitors attributes shared by all internet hosts, including personal computers and systems running Unix-like operating systems.
The IPNetwork Monitor SNMP tool lets you monitor any SNMP objects within the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB. Use the integrated MIB browser to select a variable for monitoring. The browser displays all variables, their current values, and descriptions from the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.
