Mobile usually means using a smartphone or tablet to stay informed and act on important events while you’re away from your desk. For network monitoring, mobile access is especially valuable because outages and performance issues don’t wait for office hours—being able to receive notifications and quickly check what happened can reduce downtime and speed up response.
Mobile notifications in IPNetwork Monitor. IPNetwork Monitor supports Push notifications to an Android device using the IPNetwork Mobile app (Android 7+ with Internet access) connected to your IPNetwork desktop installation. In the desktop GUI client, you add a device via Settings > Mobile Devices and connect it using a QR code (or an identification string entered manually). Once connected, you can enable the Send Push notification action in your alerting rules so monitoring events are delivered to your phone. If multiple devices are connected, you can choose which device(s) receive specific notifications, and on the mobile app side you can search and filter alerts, adjust notification sounds, and review event details. For reliable delivery, keep the device online and ensure battery restrictions aren’t preventing the app from receiving notifications in the background.
