Getting Push notifications on your Android devices

IPNetwork Monitor supports Push notifications on Android devices through the free IPNetwork Monitor Mobile app.
To start using Push notifications on your Android device, please install the free IPNetwork Monitor Mobile app. Current quick-start guidance assumes Android 7.0 or higher and an active Internet connection.
We have added a quick start reference for IPNetwork Monitor Mobile app. In practice, setup is straightforward: open “Settings > Mobile Devices” in the desktop GUI, click “Add new…”, and connect the device by scanning the displayed QR code with the mobile app.
Notes on using mobile app
IPNetwork Monitor desktop installation can connect to multiple mobile devices and manage them from “Settings > Mobile Devices”. Newly added devices can be connected immediately or defined in advance and connected later; once connected, they can be tested, renamed, disabled, re-enabled or removed as needed. By using properly set up alerts and schedules, you can choose which notifications are sent and when.
Depending on the device vendor, you might need to exclude IPNetwork Mobile app from battery optimization or background-app restrictions so that Push notifications continue arriving while the phone is locked. Please refer to the quick start and troubleshooting guidance for vendor-specific steps.
By default, IPNetwork Monitor Mobile app may use the same notification sound for multiple alert types. We recommend adjusting notification tones in the app’s Settings menu so that the most urgent alerts are easier to distinguish.
IPNetwork Monitor mobile app requires active Internet connection to be able to receive notifications. You can test the connection from “Settings > Mobile Devices” section of IPNetwork Monitor desktop GUI client, by trying to send a test alert to certain mobile device.
