zySysLogServerLogLevel

Module: ZYXEL-SYSLOG-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-SYSLOG-MIB::zySysLogServerLogLevel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.81.1.4.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Enter the severity level(s) of the logs that you want the device to send to this syslog server. The lower the number, the more critical the logs are.

What is zySysLogServerLogLevel?

This read-write enumerated value sets the severity threshold (level0 through level0To7, each level0ToN including all severities from 0 up through N) of log messages the device sends to a given syslog server, with lower numbers being more critical. An admin tunes this per server to control how much detail that particular syslog destination receives, since a lower ceiling sends only the most critical events while a higher one includes routine informational messages too. For example, setting this to level0To3 on a given server entry would forward only the more severe log levels (0 through 3) to that server, filtering out lower-priority noise.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ZYXEL-SYSLOG-MIB::zySysLogServerLogLevel

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.81.1.4.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ZYXEL-SYSLOG-MIB::zySysLogServerLogLevel.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.81.1.4.1.2.1 i <value>
