zyRemotePortMirrorDestinationMonitorPort

Module: ZYXEL-REMOTE-PORT-MIRROR-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-REMOTE-PORT-MIRROR-MIB::zyRemotePortMirrorDestinationMonitorPort

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.73.1.2.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Set the port number of the destination monitor port. The monitor-port is the port that we can monitor the RMirror traffic: 1. A monitor-port is only in destination switch. 2. It can participate in only one RMirror VLAN at a time. 3. A monitor-port in one RMirror VLAN cannot be another RMirror VLAN. 4. A monitor-port can not be a mirror-port, reflector-port and connected-port.

What is zyRemotePortMirrorDestinationMonitorPort?

This read-write INTEGER sets the port number of the destination monitor port, the port on the destination switch where mirrored RMirror traffic can be observed; per the description a monitor-port can belong to only one RMirror VLAN and cannot also be a mirror-port, reflector-port, or connected-port. Admins connect a packet analyzer or IDS to whichever port they configure here to inspect the mirrored traffic. For example, setting zyRemotePortMirrorDestinationMonitorPort to port 10 means a sniffer plugged into port 10 will see all traffic mirrored through this remote mirror VLAN.
