Module: ZYXEL-PORT-SECURITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-PORT-SECURITY-MIB::zyPortSecurityPortState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.66.1.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnabledStatus

What is zyPortSecurityPortState?

This value enables or disables port security on one specific switch port, where enabling it restricts the port to accepting frames only from its configured static MAC addresses plus dynamically learned addresses up to the configured limit. It gives an admin per-port control over unauthorized device access, letting sensitive ports lock down while others remain open. For example, an admin would enable this on a reception-area wall jack to stop an unauthorized laptop's MAC address from being learned once the dynamic-learning cap is reached.
