zyMacAuthenticationTimeout

Module: ZYXEL-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::zyMacAuthenticationTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.46.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Specify the amount of time before the switch allows a client MAC address that fails authentication to try and authenticate again. Maximum time is 3000 seconds.

What is zyMacAuthenticationTimeout?

This read-write INTEGER sets how long, up to a maximum of 3000 seconds, the switch waits before allowing a client MAC address that failed authentication to retry. Admins tune this to prevent rapid repeated authentication attempts from a rejected device while still allowing reasonable retry behavior. For example, setting this to 300 makes a failed device wait 5 minutes before the switch allows another authentication attempt from that MAC address.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.46.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ZYXEL-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::zyMacAuthenticationTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.46.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ZYXEL-MAC-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::zyMacAuthenticationTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.46.1.4.1 i <value>
