zyErrdisableRecoveryState

Module: ZYXEL-ERR-DISABLE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-ERR-DISABLE-MIB::zyErrdisableRecoveryState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.24.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnabledStatus

Access: read-write

Description: Enable/Disable error disabled port recovery feature on the switch. Some features, such as loop guard, allow the switch to shut down a port when an error is detected on the port. For example, if the switch detects that packets sent out the port(s) loop back to the switch, the switch can shut down the port(s) automatically. After that, you need to enable the port(s) manually. With disabled port recovery, you can set the disabled port(s) to become active again after the time interval you specify.

What is zyErrdisableRecoveryState?

This read-write value enables or disables the error-disabled port recovery feature on the switch, which automatically re-enables a port that a feature like loop guard shut down after detecting an error, rather than requiring the admin to manually re-enable it. An admin enables this so ports automatically recover from certain fault-triggered shutdowns after a configured wait period, reducing manual intervention for transient issues. For example, enabling this object means a port shut down by loop guard after a cabling issue will automatically come back up after the configured recovery interval instead of staying down until an admin manually re-enables it.
