What is zxL2ptGlobalSubstituteDmacVtp?
This is the substitute destination MAC address applied when tunneling VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol) frames through the switch so Cisco-style VLAN database synchronization messages reach the remote customer site intact. It prevents the provider's own switches from processing or altering the customer's VTP domain information. For example, an enterprise with sites connected over a provider's L2PT service relies on this rewrite MAC to keep VTP advertisements synchronized between locations.
