zxr10GvrpPortCfgStatus

Module: ZXR10-GARP-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZXR10-GARP-MIB::zxr10GvrpPortCfgStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3902.3.6000.507.4.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: GvrpEnabledStatus

Access: read-only

Description: The state of GVRP operation on this port. The value enabled(2) indicates that GVRP is enabled on this port, as long as zxr10GvrpGlobalStatus is also enabled for this device. When disabled(1) but zxr10GvrpGlobalStatus is still enabled for the device, GVRP is disabled on this port: any GVRP packets received will be silently discarded and no GVRP registrations will be propagated from other ports. This object affects all GVRP Applicant and Registrar state machines on this port. A transition from disabled(1) to enabled(2) will cause a reset of all GVRP state machines on this port.

What is zxr10GvrpPortCfgStatus?

This value sets whether GVRP is enabled(2) or disabled(1) on this specific port, effective only when zxr10GvrpGlobalStatus is also enabled device-wide; when disabled here, GVRP packets received on the port are silently discarded and no registrations propagate from other ports, and toggling from disabled to enabled resets this port's GVRP state machines. Admins use it to exclude specific ports, such as those facing untrusted devices, from GVRP dynamic VLAN registration while leaving it active elsewhere. Setting it to disabled(1) on an access port facing end users would prevent that port from participating in dynamic VLAN propagation.
