Module: XG-FIREWALL-MIB

OID (symbolic): XG-FIREWALL-MIB::ntpService

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.21067.2.1.2.10.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: ServiceStatsType

Access: read-only

Description:

What is ntpService?

This OID reports the runtime status of the firewall's NTP time-sync service, using the shared ServiceStatsType enumeration (e.g. running(4), stopped(2), dead(6)). Admins check this if the appliance's clock appears to be drifting, since a dead NTP service means it isn't syncing time.
