summaryAlarms

OID (symbolic): X733GROUP-MIB::summaryAlarms

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.231.7.1.3.1.1.5.201

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This trap will be sent periodically or after an explicit request via SNMP set. It is useful for these reasons: - to notice that the connection to NetM is reliable - to notice that the connection from NetM to an EWSD is reliable - to learn the names of EWSDs under control of NetM - to notice that traps got lost.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' X733GROUP-MIB::summaryAlarms
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.231.7.1.3.1.1.5.201

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:56800->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (487393248) 56 days, 9:52:12.48
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: X733GROUP-MIB::summaryAlarms
