What is prNames?

This OID holds the name of a process (e.g. an executable like 'sendmail' or 'sshd') that the agent's process-monitoring table is configured to watch. An admin sets up entries in this table to have the SNMP agent track whether enough instances of that process are running.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.2.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> UCD-SNMP-MIB::prNames

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.2.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> UCD-SNMP-MIB::prNames.1
