memSharedX

Module: UCD-SNMP-MIB

OID (symbolic): UCD-SNMP-MIB::memSharedX

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.24

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CounterBasedGauge64

Access: read-only

Description: The total amount of real or virtual memory currently allocated for use as shared memory.

This object will not be implemented on hosts where the underlying operating system does not explicitly identify memory as specifically reserved for this purpose.

What is memSharedX?

This OID reports the total amount of memory currently allocated for use as shared memory on this host, in kilobytes, when the OS explicitly tracks memory reserved for that purpose. An admin can use it to see how much RAM inter-process shared segments are consuming.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.24
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> UCD-SNMP-MIB::memSharedX

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.24.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> UCD-SNMP-MIB::memSharedX.1
