Description: The current state of a switch:

init - The switch is initializing.

disc - The switch is discovering other switchs.

sync - The switch is now synchronizing config with other stack members.

ready - The switch is now ready.

verMismatch - The software version running on the master is different with this member.

What is tpSwitchState?

This read-only object reports the current state of a member switch as it joins the stack: initializing, discovering other switches, synchronizing configuration, ready, or blocked by a firmware version mismatch with the master. A value of verMismatch(5) specifically means the unit's software version differs from the master's and it cannot fully join, which an admin resolves by upgrading or downgrading the mismatched unit's firmware. For example, an admin watching a newly cabled switch progress through init(1), disc(2), and sync(3) to ready(4) confirms it has fully joined the stack, while seeing verMismatch(5) instead tells them to check firmware versions.
