tpRc4Sha

Module: TPLINK-SSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): TPLINK-SSL-MIB::tpRc4Sha

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.42.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: 0. disable 1. enable

What is tpRc4Sha?

A read-write switch enabling or disabling the RC4-SHA cipher suite for the device's HTTPS/SSL service. This lets an admin control whether the somewhat stronger but still legacy RC4-SHA cipher is offered during TLS negotiation, useful when tightening the device's cryptographic posture. An admin auditing the device against a security baseline that forbids RC4 ciphers would set tpRc4Sha to disable(0).

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.42.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-SSL-MIB::tpRc4Sha

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.42.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-SSL-MIB::tpRc4Sha.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.42.1.5.1 i <value>
