What is tpRc4Md5?

A read-write switch enabling or disabling the RC4-MD5 cipher suite for the device's HTTPS/SSL service. Admins disable weaker cipher suites like RC4-MD5, considered cryptographically weak, to reduce the set of ciphers an attacker could try to exploit during a TLS handshake. Setting tpRc4Md5 to disable(0) removes RC4-MD5 from the list of ciphers the device will negotiate with connecting HTTPS clients.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.42.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-SSL-MIB::tpRc4Md5

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.42.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-SSL-MIB::tpRc4Md5.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.42.1.4.1 i <value>
